Hello, my name is Val Boyko. I am originally from Scotland, and came to the USA over 13 years ago with my husband and 2 dogs. As an Expat Spouse I put my management career with a Fortune 500 company on hold, took a deep breath and leapt over the Atlantic!
Over the first year I experienced a rollercoaster of emotions from excitement, fear, disappointment and doubt. There were also plenty of HUH? moments when I didn’t understand what was going on around me or what others expected of me.
It was a challenge and turned out to be the beginning of great personal growth and one of the best experiences of my life!
Things started to fall into place when I was invited to attend a Cross Cultural Training program for an executive moving to the US. I became fascinated with cultures and how we can learn to understand one another, accept our differences and be successful in a new place.
So I decided to become an intercultural consultant. As a consultant I have trained trainers, written country and cultural materials, and facilitated cross cultural training programs, as well as partnering with corporations on Global diversity issues.
As an executive coach I now work one on one with leaders of all levels within global companies.
I am a graduate of the internationally recognized Coach University coach training program, certified by the International Coach Federation and am on the Executive Board of the Philadelphia chapter of the ICF.
This has been a terrific journey for me, and I would be honored to support you on the road that lies ahead for you!
